Basi.Co was born at home
Architects graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at UFRJ, who completed their studies at universities in Europe.
Carlos Carvalho was selected for the academic exchange period at the Politecnico di Milano in 2008/2009, Caio Carvalho started the exchange at the same university in 2013/2014.
It was at the Italian university, a reference in design on the European continent, that they first encountered furniture design. The brothers now run the renowned architecture firm Studio RO+CA. Only 10 years old, the firm already boasts a vast client base, including respected companies both domestically and internationally.
Responsible for residential, commercial and corporate projects, some of which have been published in international magazines and websites - in countries such as Israel, Japan, China and Italy.
They decided to create their own pieces, as they couldn't find anything on the furniture market that represented the firm's personality. What had previously been a privilege reserved for their own clients sparked the interest of friends and other architects, leading them to the creation of basi.co design.

The "Maré" collection was created to provide a unique experience in both indoor and outdoor spaces, conveying the feeling of a beach house with an extra touch of refinement. The design seeks to combine simplicity with the complexity of handcrafted work, resulting in unique and charming pieces.
The structure of the sofa and armchair was carefully crafted from aluminum. This traditional technique adds a sense of authenticity and enhances the furniture's quality.
"Maré" was designed to convey the relaxed, lighthearted feeling of a beachy atmosphere, with that extra touch of sophistication that sets it apart. Each piece was carefully designed to balance the laid-back feel of a beach house with details that add a touch of elegance.

"When bringing our vision for the armchair to life, we delved into the nostalgia of an old beach chair, seeking to recapture the charm of the past and redefine its essence with a contemporary twist. The challenge was to create a piece that exuded sophistication while preserving the simplicity and versatility of the original inspiration.
The armchair is not only an aesthetic focal point, but also a versatile and functional piece, designed to integrate harmoniously into a variety of environments. The lightness of the structure allows for easy movement, while the ergonomic lines ensure optimal comfort, making it an elegant and practical addition to any space.
